CAIR Coalition's Summer 2019 Interns

Esta Página en Español

This summer at CAIR Coalition, we have the largest group of legal and undergraduate interns to date! Seventeen interns have joined us to assist staff across all programs at CAIR Coalition. Throughout the summer, the interns will participate in legal trainings led by CAIR Coalition staff members to gain a deeper understanding of immigration law and its impact on the individuals we interact with on a day-to-day basis.

Interns across all programs will have the opportunity to accompany the Adults and Childrens' teams on visits to detention centers in Maryland and Virginia, attend court hearings in the Arlington and Baltimore Immigration Courts, assist with case assessment, staff our detention hotline, and provide additional substantive legal and administrative support to staff. Legal interns will also have the opportunity to represent a client under the supervision of one of CAIR Coalition’s Senior Attorneys.

Our interns are integral to the work we do and we are grateful for their hard work and dedication!

Please join us in welcoming: Catharine Arranz, Nicolas Goldberg, Eliane Nieder, Samantha Freedman, Lilian Cruz, Khatia Mikadze, Cassandra Chee, Megan Walden, Luisa Graden, Ellis Linsmith, Anna Perina, Cristina Gil, Ellen Watlington, Chris Opila, Sumona Gupta, Jazlyn Colato, and Ana Gabriela Dimate.

Stay tuned for more intern spotlights on our social media!
